As a graphic designer, I had the opportunity to work on the Geraldo de Barros – Geometria Viva (Live Geometric in English) exhibition project. The project focused on the artist Geraldo de Barros and his contributions to the art world. The exhibition was presented in the mezzanine of MAB FAAP, and my role was to develop the visual concept and identity for the project.
The project was curated with a timeline representing the artist’s main events, passing through his works of Game of Dice and Furniture of Geraldo, followed by one of his last “Sobras” projects, and concluding with a documentary in which the artist reports the process of his photography projects. To create the visual identity for the project, I developed a unique typography font family based on the shape of his project, a logo, posters, invitations, signage, and a catalogue summarizing the works presented.
The design for the Geraldo de Barros – Geometria Viva exhibition was inspired by the artist’s style and his contributions to the art world. I chose to use geometric shapes and bold colours to convey the essence of his work, creating a cohesive visual identity that tied all the elements of the exhibition together.
It was an exciting and challenging project that allowed me to use my skills as a graphic designer to create a visual representation of an artist’s life and work. The end product was a beautiful and cohesive visual identity that conveyed the essence of the exhibition and look forward to continuing to create impactful designs.
