YOKO ONO: Shadow Piece Poster

I am passionate about creating visual experiences that engage and inspire. One of my projects was a typographic poster that I developed entirely with paper cut-outs. The poster was inspired by Yoko Ono’s Shadow Piece: Put Your shadows together until they become one.

My goal for this project was to translate the essence of Yoko Ono’s work into a visually stunning piece of art. I chose to work with a colour palette and its variations to semantically translate the shadows represented in the original piece. The colours of the graphic objects I created are opposite, representing the joining of shadows into a single, unified piece.

This project challenged me to think outside the box and create a design that was both visually impactful and conceptually meaningful.

A good modern poster will therefore be an image in general colour, usually containing a single theme and accompanied by a conductive text, which rarely exceeds ten or twenty words, carrying a single argument. It is made to be glued and exposed to the passer-by’s vision.
